Hi, I’m Ana, the founder of 4MyUnnie, an online store dedicated to authentic Korean skincare. I’m excited to share the heartfelt story behind our brand, which is rooted in a journey of transformation and self-care.

 

Everything began with a profound shift in my life. After years of working as a product manager in a demanding corporate environment, I experienced burnout that left me physically and emotionally exhausted. I realized that something had to change. I needed time to care for myself, to reconnect with my family, and, most importantly, to be present for my son. So, I took a leap of faith. Once I had recovered, I left my corporate job and founded 4MyUnnie.

During my recovery, I discovered the captivating world of Korean skincare. While watching Korean dramas on Netflix, I couldn’t help but wonder, “How do they have such amazing skin?” At 40, I looked in the mirror and knew I needed to prioritize self-care. I started using Korean skincare products and was amazed by the results. This newfound passion turned into a mission: to bring the benefits of Korean skincare to more people, especially in Europe and the United States, where quality skincare can be expensive and less accessible.

The name "4MyUnnie" holds a deep and personal significance. “Unnie” means “older sister” in Korean and is a tribute to my sister, who encouraged me to follow this dream. The number 4 symbolizes both entering my 40s and my son, who was four years old when the shop was created. This name is a constant reminder of love, new beginnings, and the strength that brought me here.
